Annapurna region, situated to the north of Pokhara, is a major commercial and most popular trekking destination in Nepal. This trek offers every trekker the magnificent scenery and its unspoilt bio-diversity, scenic view of Fish Tail peaks, Annapurna, Nilgiri, Gangapurna and Lamjung. This region is the home of about 101 mammals, 39 reptiles, 22 amphibians, 478 species of birds, 9 types of rhododendrons, 38 orchids and 1226 varieties of wild plants. Apart from this, the region is also a popular cultural heritage site which is inhabited by different ethnic groups.

 

Main attraction:

Vast range of bio-diversity on the trail, conserved wild life and vegetation, natural hot spring ,mid -hills cultural area inhabited by Gurung, Magar, Brahmin and Kshetri castes, panoramic view of Annapurna and Fish Tail on the way to and from Base Camp.

 

Accessibility: Fly (30 min) or drive (7 hr) to Pokhara.

The Route: Max. Altitude 4180 m. about 5-6 hr. gentle walking per day, trek starts after breakfast, moderate trail.

Best season: Sept. to mid of Dec. and late March to May (Sept. to Dec. best season)

Facility: Teahouse lodges, managed by ACAP and eco-aware local people. Tented camping trip can also be organized, safe drinking water project facilities.

Trekking Destination: Machharpurche base camp- Annapurna base camp

Group Size: Minimum – 2 pax

Minimum altitude: 1010m.

Maximum altitude: 4095m.

Grade: Moderate

Total Trekking Days: (Kathmandu- Kathmandu)

Walking Hour: Approximately 5-6 hours each day.


Day to Day Itinerary
Day 01
Arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to a hotel.
Day 02
Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley. Dinner will be served in the hotel.
Day 03
Today we take early flight/ drive to Pokhara. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 04
We drive to Phedi, and trek to Tolka. Dinner will be served in a tea house.
Day 05
Today, we trek to Chhomrong and take rest.
Day 06
From Chhomrong, we trek to Bamboo and overnight in a lodge.
Day 07
It is the day to trek to Himalayan Hotel.
Day 08
After having food, we commence our trek to Machhapuchhare Base Camp.
Day 09
From Machhapuchhare Base Camp, we trek to Annapurna Base Camp.
Day 10
We trek to Deorali. Overnight in a tea house.
Day 11
After having food at Deorali, we trek to Dobhan.
Day 12
We commence our early trek to Chhomrong.
Day 13
After having food at Chhomrong, we trek to Ghandruk.
Day 14
We go for Village tour at Ghandruk today.
Day 15
Today, we trek down to Birethanti and then to Nayapul, and drive back to Pokhara.
Day 16
Full day sightseeing at Pokhara valley.
Day 17
We take early flight/drive to Kathmandu.
Day 18
Back to home destination
