Kanchanjunga trek is one of the most popular trekking destinations of Nepal. We trek to the base camp of third highest peak. Spectacular views of Jannu from the Mirgin La can be viewed. We will go through the tranquil villages on the borders of Sikkim & Tibet. The region is one of the pristine high mountain areas in Nepal and our trek takes you through magnificent and varied scenery to the Base Camps on both north and south sides of this massive mountain. Our trek begins from Taplejung, situated in the far east of the country. Climbing higher, we pass through dense rhododendron forests, which gradually give way to Himalayan blue pine and tranquil alpine pastures. At Ramze, we will have an opportunity to view high alpine peaks. Kanchanjunga was first conquered by Joe Brown and George Band in 1955. Our trek will take us to the attractive village called Ghunsa. Leaving Ghunsa, we trek through Himalayan scrub and juniper, past the yak pastures at Lhonak and Kambachen. This trek holds the best that Nepal has to offer to the visitors, from beautiful villages and lush green rice paddies to spectacular Himalayan summits. It offers visit to both the north and south face base camps.
